Day 1 - WooHoo-ing is Hard

29 July 2014

My old roommate and I were hanging out and she started watching videos on YouTube. She ended up watching some videos about The Sims 3 since it's something we have in common. We have both played The Sims since we were around 10. (Actually it was first introduced to me when I was in third grade and I was hooked from then on.) The videos on YouTube were people attempting the 100 Baby Challenge. After a bit of researching, I found a list of challenges with their rules here, but I've decided to try and do the baby challenge first. My goal is to have 100 children as quickly as possible. And to keep up about it I've decided to blog about it.

These are the rules I followed from here:
RULES
  • Your founder may only leave the house to complete opportunities and meet men. She may not have a job.
  • Infants may be aged up immediately if you wish
  • Toddlers can be aged up as soon as they can walk, talk, and use the potty, but not before. If you don't get these done, you must wait for the game to age them up.
  • Children and Teens may be aged up once they have an A in school and you get the message about your child reaching Honor Roll.
  • Teens may get a part-time job to help out.
  • Young adults may be moved out immediately or you can wait, but they cannot get a full-time job while living in the house
  • You may hire a maid, but you have to stop them from helping with toddlers (changing diapers, feeding, etc.)
  • You may not use Apples or Watermelon to determine the gender of a baby.
  • The last girl to be born from the founder will continue the challenge.
  • Your founder may not get married while living in-house.

  • Only assign traits to the founder. All the offspring must have randomized traits.

  • Your founder may be moved out as soon as she is an elder to make room, as long as there is another adult sim in the house.
  • If you manage to not get a girl, obviously the challenge is failed. That's the only way you can really fail.
  • You may not use any cheats, except for to reset a sim if needed.
  • Once you've had children with a man, you may not use him again for offspring.
  • Your sim may never hire a babysitter. You have to wait until other children are old enough to take care of it.
  • You may not send your children to Boarding School, as the school takes care of the child which repeals the point.

I started with a female sim named Babby Muhsheen (Baby Machine). She has the traits of artistic, flirty, good sense of humor, family oriented, and computer whiz. I'm not sure if these were good decisions, but it's working for the most part. I also gave her a dog named Clover. I figure the dog could make money for the family by hunting since it's not explicitly said in the rules. (Sorry I have the Pets expansion. But it's the only expansion I own since the others are still 20$.) But Clover is actually being the bane of Babby's existence. Even though Clover has the neat trait, she pees inside every day. I've decided she gets too involved with her chew toy and forgets she has to pee until its too late. Sometimes I don't see her pee in the house, but there's always a puddle when my screen is elsewhere. I don't know why Clover is such a piggy.

After playing for 5 hours on Day 1, Babby had two relationships with men that wouldn't let her WooHoo with them. Actually they kept rejecting all her romantic advances. I didn't think this would be that hard at the beginning. I've never had such a big problem having WooHoo with any of my sims. Finally at the end of Day 1, I was able to get pregnant finally with guy number 3. And I was tired after 5 hours so that ended Day 1
